The short version

Habitly does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. It has no account system, no backend server, no analytics SDK, and no advertising SDK. Everything the app knows about your habits lives in a local database on your device and nowhere else.

What Habitly stores, and where

  • Habit and check-in data — stored only in a local SQLite database on your device. It is never uploaded anywhere.
  • Backup files — if you use the app's export/backup feature, the file is written to a location you choose on your own device (or shared via a share sheet you control). Habitly does not upload backups to any server it operates.
  • App preferences (theme, reminder settings, quiet hours) — stored locally on-device.

Permissions Habitly requests

  • Notifications — to show local habit reminders you configure. No notification content is sent to or generated by a remote server.
  • Receive boot completed — so scheduled reminders survive a device restart.
  • Biometric / device credential (optional, if you enable an app lock) — authentication happens entirely through your device's operating system. Habitly never sees or stores your fingerprint, face data, or PIN.

Third parties

Habitly does not integrate any analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising SDKs, and makes no network requests during normal use. There is nothing to opt out of because nothing is collected.

Children's privacy

Because Habitly collects no personal data from anyone, it does not knowingly collect personal data from children either.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future version of Habitly adds an optional cloud sync feature — this page will be updated first, with the "Last updated" date above reflecting the change, before that feature ships.
